Carolina Bauernhaus is releasing 18 Mile Red Peach, Source Series Apis, & Blackberry Petite Sour.

We're releasing 3 fresh new rustic refined bottles on August 17-19th! Come grab this year's blend of 18 Mile Red Peach, Our latest version of our award winning Source SeriesĀ® Apis, or the newest bottle in our lineup- Blackberry Petite Sour.

18 Mile Red Peach (7.2% ABV) is our award winning 18 Mile Red Flanders inspired ale aged on local peaches. This rustic refined ale was fermented in Petite Syrah barrels and aged for eight months before blending in peaches. The bright acidity of this beer is created using a strain of native lactobacillus isolated by SouthYeast labs. The initial bite of this red ale is balanced by juicy peach notes and an oaky barrel character. 500ml bottles are $15 each.

The Source SeriesĀ® of rustic refined ales are the essence of the Carolina Bauernhaus brewing philosophy. The yeasts and bacteria used to ferment a Source Series ale are collected from one of the ingredients used to brew the ale. Source Series Apis (7.5% ABV) is a golden ale native fermented with two strains of yeast collected from local honeybees. A simple grain bill and subtle hop character allow the yeast to take center stage. Local wildflower honey was added during the fermentation for a burst of honey aroma and flavor accentuating the character of the yeast. 500ml bottles are $10 each.

Blackberry Petite Sour (4.5% ABV) is our native fermented golden sour in red wine barrels with locally harvested blackberries. Tart and fruity with subtle wine barrel character. This unique regional ale draws its acidity from a strain of lactobacillus isolated from opuntia fruit and a blend of locally captured native yeasts. 500ml bottles are $10 each.
