Cascade Brewing will release its Blackcap Raspberry 2016 blend in bottle and draft on Tuesday, August 16. This Northwest sour ale is a blend of wheat and blond ales aged in oak wine barrels with blackcap and red raspberries for up to 14 months. Clean, concentrated flavors of black and red raspberries are the showcase of this blend with hints of red wine, French oak and dark summer fruits. 7.7% ABV, $7/glass, $2/taster, $20/bottle. This will be available in-house at the Cascade Brewing Barrel House and at the Raccoon Lodge & Brew Pub; it will also be sent to distributors.
