12 street-style artists will present their work in a live art setting to raise money for local art.

Wall to Canvas Returns to the Magic Hat Brewery
Regional Artists to Compete in Live Urban Art Competition

South Burlington, VT – On Saturday, August 1st, 12 regional artists will descend upon the Magic Hat Brewery and Artifactory to spray, paste and paint their way to victory in a live art competition for the ages. Wall to Canvas serves to satisfy the artistic hunger of its attendees while raising money for and interest in the non-profit Shelburne Craft School.

About the Competition

Beginning at 1pm, a $5 donation to the Shelburne Craft School will get interested parties and partiers into the event where they will enjoy music from DJ Rekkon, an artist merchandise tent, interactive art, fresh food from Queen City Pops, Dolce VT and Taco Truck All-Stars and an outdoor beer garden featuring Magic Hat’s finest offerings. Free beer tastings inside the Artifactory and free brewery tours on the hour at 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5pm.

From 2 to 4:30pm, each artist will transform his or her blank canvas into a wild work of art while the event’s attendees look on. After the two-and-a-half hours are up, Jamie Polli will then auction off the art, with half the proceeds going to the artist and half to the Shelburne Craft School.

The Shelburne Craft School: Cultivating Creative Minds

Founded in 1945, The Shelburne Craft School is a non-profit organization dedicated to offering classes, workshops, and camps across a range of artistic mediums and forms. For over sixty-five years they have introduced students of all ages to the pleasure of creating in wood, metal, glass, visual, clay, fiber and photo arts.
