JOB PURPOSE:
North Park Beer Company is an award-winning, independently-owned craft brewery in North Park, San Diego. We focus on brewing high-quality and innovative beers, collaborating with industry leaders, and providing exceptional guest hospitality. The Brewery Wholesale & Logistics Manager will oversee North Park Beer Company's wholesale and logistics operations. This role is responsible for efforts related to the acquisition of and the maintenance of both on-premise and off-premises accounts via email and other correspondence, taking orders, invoicing, confirming collection of payments, and coordinating fulfillment of wholesale and retail beer orders, all while enforcing our strict quality standards for our beer. This position is also responsible for tracking and maintaining data for beer inventory in bulk, kegs, and packaged in cans or bottles virtually in software and physically at our brewery location. This position may require participating in events at accounts and beer festivals, providing help with onsite events at our taproom locations, and other tasks where needed. The Brewery Wholesale & Logistics Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the company is maintaining compliance with all California ABC and Federal TTB laws and any required filings that shall include but are not limited to California ABC Brand Registrations and Price Postings, and Federal TTB COLAs and formula submissions. Job duties may require some long-distance travel and overnight trips. The Brewery Wholesale & Logistics Manager will be responsible for providing high-quality customer service at all times.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide excellent customer service at all times.
- Track wholesale and retail sell-through rates by beer style and package format, and work with brewery management and ownership to determine strategic allocations of upcoming beer releases to wholesale.
- Be well-versed in all aspects of North Park Beer Company’s culture and beer brands, with the ability to communicate key details with excitement verbally.
- Maintain compliance with California ABC and TTB by filing price postings, brand registrations, and COLAS as needed.
- Send weekly beer availability sell sheet email blasts to on-premises and off-premises accounts.
- Communicate with wholesale customers, answer questions, and log any feedback (to be timely and accurately forwarded to appropriate individuals and managers.)
- Review accounts receivable status with the accounting department before processing new orders and invoices, following California ABC 30-day credit law rules at all times.
- Generate invoices for new orders and close out invoices for delivered beer.
- Work with brewery management to maintain inventory control of backstock beer in kegs and cases, adjusting wholesale allocations to ensure the ideal freshness and product mix for taproom operations.
- Thoroughly understand the modules of our brewery management software related to wholesale and logistics, regularly updating bulk, kegged, and packaged beer inventory.
- Coordinate intercompany beer deliveries with brewery staff.
- Coordinate and process kegged and packaged beer pickups, shipments, and deliveries with our logistics partners and accounts.
- Work with shipping team members to fulfill wholesale and retail shipping orders.
- Fill kegs for orders as needed.
- Open new on-premises and off-premises accounts through networking and other measures as needed.
- Track stainless steel cooperage inventory and maintain par inventory of 1-way plastic kegs. Ensure that kegs are returned timely and that keg credits are applied accurately.
- As needed, travel to and attend local, domestic, and international beer events, representing the North Park Beer Company brand with pride and enthusiasm.
- Ensure company delivery vehicles are well-maintained and report any issues immediately to appropriate individuals and managers.
- Complete all required spreadsheets, paperwork, and forms to document sales and/or expenses.
- Completely understand and embrace North Park Beer Company’s beer and company culture and deliver on our mission to all wholesale and retail customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have a clean driving record and possess or be able to attain a valid California driver’s license.
- Possess working knowledge of beer and the craft beer industry.
- Possess strong knowledge and enforcement of ABC laws.
- Experience in sales and a basic understanding of inventory management and logistics processes.
- Possesses computer skills with proficiency in Google Applications (Sheets, Docs, Calendar) and the ability to quickly learn to use brewery management software and other wholesale-related applications.
- Able to maintain excellent customer service and a high level of ethics while working under pressure.
- This position requires an exceptional work ethic, a team-oriented mindset, meticulous organizational skills, clear communication, and a positive can-do attitude.

- Able to drive, load, and unload delivery vehicle
- Able to regularly and safely maneuver, climb, bend, crawl, lift, and carry supplies and equipment weighing up to 55 pounds (such as 1/6 bbl kegs), maneuver items of any weight above 55 pounds with appropriate equipment and/or assistance including items weighing up to 165-pounds (such as full size ½ bbl kegs), using appropriate techniques and tools
- Able to safely navigate the taproom, basement, and mezzanine, including crowded or cramped spaces
- Able to work in a beer manufacturing facility, which at times may be loud, slick, humid, hot, and/or cold
- Able to work in indoor and outdoor environments with moderate noise and occasionally slippery surfaces
- Able to comply with and enforce all Company handbook policies and procedures as required

75K-85K Commensurate based on experience
