Summary Description:
The Head Brewer is responsible for executing the brewing strategy as laid out by the COO and CEO. The Head Brewer will be responsible for crafting and making current and new beer, cider, and seltzer recipes. The Head Brewer will be responsible for maintaining and cleaning all equipment in the brewery. The Head Brewer will work with the other farm team members to manage inventory, and keep the warehouse organized.
Essential Job Functions:
· The ability to put together purchase orders for ingredients necessary to keep the daily brewing operations moving forward.
· Creating and executing a brew schedule as laid out at the beginning of every year, while hitting all production goals. Keeping packaged products available in the farm store for purchase.
· Monitoring Inventory levels of all wine, beer, and cider in the warehouse monthly.
· Work with Front of House staff to train, and educate them about beer, and how to sell them.
· Work with the CFO to stay within a budget for the year.
· Enter at least three pouring events in the state per year, and 3 competitions per year.
Experience:
· Minimum of three years of experience working in the brewing industry.
· In depth understanding of the brewing equipment, including the ability to run, and maintain all aspects of the brewery.
· Excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work within a team, as laid out in our core values.
· Knowledge of computer systems, POS, and brewing software would be a plus.
