Job requirements include a personable demeanor, knowledge of beer, and a passion for selling it. Sales experience in the beer industry is preferred and familiarity with Beer 30 software is a huge plus. New Jersey is a self-distro state so we're looking for someone to help build a network of new customers while maintaining relationships with our current accounts. While we may need occasional coverage for events, we do already have Brand Ambassadors on our payroll that we use for tastings/farmer's markets/etc, so the major focus of this position is direct sales. Duties include, but are not limited to:


  • sales calls and account visits
  • generating/following up on leads
  • creating and posting invoices in Beer 30
  • weekly cold box inventory
  • gathering and inputting customer data
  • generating sales reports


Sales Rep will work closely with management on packaging plans, scheduling, label needs, planning seasonals, etc. Open communication is vital to us. We value honest feedback and we adjust and pivot when we need to. We're a small operation but we've got something special here and we're ready to begin ramping things up so this Sales position has the potential to grow into something greater as we expand.


Compensation range listed ($47,000-$52,000) assumes $38,000-$43,000 per year base pay salary plus commision. Commision structure is $0.85/Case Equivalent, which equates to approximately $9000/year based on our current distro numbers. Lots of room for growth though, as we're looking to increase our distribution by 20% per year over the next 5 years. This is a very achievable goal, as we've recently upgraded to a 20bbl brewhouse and we are located in the most populated county in New Jersey, 10 minutes outside of NYC. We've grown steadily but we've also grown intentionally slowly, so there's plenty of accounts in our region that we've yet to do business with. We're also fortunate to have a devout following locally and a solid reputation in our market. The foundation is laid...we just need somebody out in the market everyday to help us grow.


Position is full time and includes medical, vision, and dental coverage, for which we pay 50%. Employee starts with 2 weeks paid PTO/year, which increases to 3 weeks after the 3rd year. For now, Sales Rep will use their own vehicle but will receive a $600/month vehicle stipend. Mileage will be tracked using a GPS-based app. Also, we are firm believers in continuing education and we do try to attend CBC every year. While not a guaranteed part of the compensation package, continuing education will be prioritized for this position and if CBC is not an option, there will be days set aside for conferences/seminars/etc.


Position requires 1-2 days/week in-house at the brewery and the remaining time on the road visiting accounts/leads. Hours will typically be 9am-5pm or 10am-6pm but will require some flexibility based on the needs of our accounts. In-person visits with our retail partners is crucial and the Sales Rep will expect to visit at least 10-12 accounts on days that they're on the road. Account visits must be logged and Sales Rep will be expected to meet with management weekly and maintain open communication regarding sales trends, account demeanors, etc
