About Industrial Arts:

IABC opened its doors in 2016 at our historic Garnerville NY site.  To keep pace with our rapid growth we secured a new location in Beacon, NY at the end of 2018 and are now fully moved into our new home. Our Beacon facility is a 70,000 sq ft purpose built state of the art facility with a 100 hL custom brewhouse and a modern, flexible and efficient packaging line.  We pride ourselves on quality, efficiency, and safety. This includes maintaining our facility’s current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) certification.

Anticipated schedule:

Wednesday - Sundays. 

This role requires afternoons and evenings, particularly the ability to be onsite for private events, special events, and live music. 


Main job duties


The Hospitality General Manager is responsible for our public facing business and ensuring all customers that visit Industrial Arts have a great experience. Satisfied customers will become repeat customers, either visiting the taproom again or purchasing Industrial Arts products from a retailer to enjoy at home. 


Oversee tasting room and event space to ensure proper presentation of beverages, cleanliness and compliance with fire, health and safety standards. Order inventory and supplies and maintain documentation as needed. Hire, train, and manage hospitality staff, ensuring product and service standards are met and accurately represents the IABC brand to the public. Provide staff with in-the-moment feedback to improve performance. Work with the brewing team to educate beertenders on our products and our company. 


Contract and oversee private events including: fielding customer inquiries, contract negotiations and permitting, coordination of events, appropriate staffing and staff training, accurate billing, and maintaining profit margins.  

Help come up with creative new public offerings to drive traffic.  Coordinate and oversee those public events including contracting vendors when necessary, ensuring permits are accurate, appropriate staffing, maintaining profit margins. 


Field any customer complaints to ensure a mutually agreeable solution is found for both parties in a timely manner. 


Control costs including appropriate staffing levels, accurate pricing for beverages, food and event fees, controlling waste and maintaining FIFO inventory control. Generate informative reports to help upper management make good decisions. 


Create and maintain a food program including visiting food trucks, small bites suppliers and planning for increased onsite offerings in the future. Ensure there is a steady source of food for customers visiting the brewery. 


Physical Requirements:

21 years or older

Able to twist, bend, kneel, work in a loud, wet factory environment every shift

Able to lift/carry 44-pound boxes daily and throughout shift

Able to regularly lift/carry 55-pound bags above waist level daily and throughout shift
