Brewbound is pleased to announce that Greg Koch, CEO and co-founder of Stone Brewing Company, will join the Brewbound Craft Beer Session as a featured speaker. The event will take place on June 5th in Manhattan.
As an entrepreneur and leader in the craft beer space, Koch’s presentation will discuss the importance of establishing a set of core business values in order to be successful. His “think different, be amazing” speech will be specifically designed to encourage emerging craft brewers to become leaders in their own ways. (Koch will also make a separate presentation to the audience of BevNET Live).
Koch launched Stone Brewing in July of 1996; with the launch of seminal “Arrogant Bastard”, the company established a reputation as a stalwart leader in the craft beer space, one that refused to compromise its principles in the face of established industry practices. Koch has notably continued to turn down requests from retailers for discounts, free goods, free glassware, and advertising and refused to take part in ‘pay-to-play’ entreaties as well.
His work as an entrepreneur is especially important at a time when the craft beer industry is still maturing. Koch routinely advocates for craft brewers, often by megaphone, and even distributes a number of craft beers through his wholesale business in Southern California. Koch will share important lessons and personal stories in a discussion that aims to inspire even the smallest craft brewer.
The Brewbound Craft Beer Session will be held on June 5th at the Metropolitan Pavilion, a meeting and event space at 125 W. 18th Street in Manhattan. The event is co-located with BevNET Live, a two-day forum for beverage entrepreneurs, suppliers, distributors, retailers and investors.
The Brewbound Craft Beer Session is sponsored by Cold Spring Brewing Company, Key Keg and BevForce.
Early registration is available through April 15. To sign up for the event online, please visit the registration page. Additional questions regarding registration and sponsorship inquiries can be directed to Chris Furnari at 617-231-8828 or cfurnari@bevnet.com.
