Brewbound is delighted to announce that Josh Landan and Mikey Taylor, the co-founders of recently launched Saint Archer Brewing Company, will join the Dec. 5 Brewbound Session in San Diego.
Since April, when it first hit the market, Saint Archer has secured over 2,400 points of distribution, is poured at 785 draft accounts and has already penetrated key retail chains such as Total Wine, BevMo!, and Vons. Through its first 18 months, the brewery projects it will brew nearly 20,000 barrels of beer, an impressive amount for a company headquartered in the competitive San Diego market.
Landan will discuss Saint Archer’s conscious and unapologetic approach to branding during the event, explaining how Saint Archer was able to craft an attitude and brand image that would resonate with action sports enthusiasts. His presentation will explain why it is absolutely critical for a craft beer company to build a brand identity and lifestyle alongside quality liquid.
Landan will discuss how a focus on brand identity during the formative stages of a startup allows brewery owners to successfully launch into a crowded craft beer marketplace with a clear consumer message. He’ll explain how it enabled Saint Archer to secure distributor and retailer mindshare, allowing the company to compete against San Diego stalwarts such as Stone Brewing from its first day.
After the presentation, professional skateboarder and Saint Archer co-founder, Mikey Taylor, will join Landan and Brewbound.com editor Chris Furnari in a question and answer session about brand development, marketing strategy and the company’s approach to celebrity-investor endorsement.
The Brewbound Session, which will be held at the Paradise Point Resort & Spa, is a full-day conference for beer industry professionals. The event focuses on the strategic marketing, brand building and business development issues that most directly impact craft brewers. A variety of distribution, retail, investment and branding discussions are offered.
