Manchester, NH ― Known to many across New England, New Jersey and New York City for its automated mobile canning lines and well trained, professional staff, Iron Heart Canning is proud to announce its purchase of the Elyria, Ohio based mobile canning company, Buckeye Canning. The deal solidifies an expansion into the Midwest, extending a service offering that has helped stimulate growth of craft beer in cans across the Northeast U.S.
For Iron Heart, it’s a chance to help even more craft breweries in need of an additional way to package their product. “It’s truly an exciting time in the industry, and we are doing our best to help everyone, large or small, get their product into cans and out to the marketplace to support the growing demand,” said Joe Marston, CEO of Iron Heart Canning. “With the acquisition of Buckeye Canning, we’ll be able to build upon an established operation and apply our process knowledge and expertise to provide an even greater service to a larger network within and surrounding Ohio,” he said.
Buckeye Canning’s operations will remain unchanged and they will continue to operate as they have, supporting all of Ohio, Western PA and Buffalo, NY. Buckeye Canning’s co- founder, BJ Solomon, will manage the business locally.
“We always set a high bar for ourselves in terms of service and quality, and we view our combination with Iron Heart as simply raising that bar even higher,” states BJ. “We have also been impressed by Iron Heart’s industry leading service, and we are confident that the combined business will enable us to better service our territory and our customers’ growing needs.
Since its inception in 2013, Iron Heart Canning has supported a great need in the craft brewing industry and has realized significant growth through its strong customer service and operational excellence. They now operate 8 mobile canning lines from New Jersey to Maine, currently servicing craft beer, cider, wine, and mead product segments.
