BOSTON – With enough variety to please your palate from Labor Day’s last barbeque through winter’s first chill, the Harvest Collection pack is available from mid-August through October. Along with classic Samuel Adams crowd-pleasers like Boston Lager and OctoberFest, this year’s pack features an all-new style: Samuel Adams Bonfire Rauchbier.
Samuel Adams Bonfire Rauchbier is a dark, malty, smoked brew. The specialty malt is dried over a beech wood fire, giving the beer a distinct smokiness. The complex flavor of this beer includes a rich maltiness that balances the smoked character with deep caramel and toffee notes for a full flavor and smooth finish.
Samuel Adams Harvest Pumpkin Ale is a dark, reddish-amber beer with a full-bodied sweetness, and is brewed with more than 11 pounds of real pumpkin per barrel. Deep roasted malts, including smoked malt, lend a distinct roasty character while traditional pumpkin pie spices give the brew a subtle spice note.
Samuel Adams OctoberFest is brewed to celebrate the arrival of autumn. This beer has a rich, deep golden amber hue, which itself is reflective of the season. This hearty lager is rich with a blend of five malts — Harrington, Metcalfe, Caramel, Munich, and Moravian — to create a delicious harmony of sweet flavors. The sweetness is balanced by the elegant bitterness imparted by the hand-selected Noble Bavarian hops.
Samuel Adams Boston Lager was first brewed in Jim Koch’s kitchen in 1984 and is a tried-and-true American favorite. This deep amber colored lager is brewed using only the four classic ingredients (barley, hops, yeast and water) and traditional brewing methods. While the brew is a perfect drink for fall tailgating, Boston Lager can also be used to create a simple grilling marinade. Add a little sugar and salt to a bottle of Boston Lager, creating the perfect brine. Soak your favorite cut of meat and grill to perfection.
These brews are available in the Samuel Adams harvest Collection Variety 12-pack alongside Samuel Adams Black Lager and Irish Red. The pack will be in stores nationwide for a suggested retail price of $13.99. Additionally, Boston Lager, OctoberFest and Harvest Pumpkin Ale are available separately in six-packs, retailing for $7.99.
