Long Live Beerworks is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Representative to join our team. This team member will be responsible for managing and expanding the brewery’s sales operations within Rhode Island and Massachusetts. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies and visiting accounts daily with the aim of selling more draft and canned products in the marketplace. Initiatives include opening new accounts and managing relationships with our local distributors, retailers, and key existing accounts.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaboratively create with management quarterly sales goals and deliver on those plans
  • Solicit and maintain business with new and existing On-Premise and Off-Premise accounts
  • Develop + execute schedule to cover assigned territory and meet with various retailers daily
  • Build strategic relationships with Retail Account and Distribution partners
  • Fulfill all expected monthly sales performance metrics
  • Participate in Distributor + Brewery sales meetings and ride-along sales efforts
  • Maintain a complete Account and Contact database using required software and company tools
  • Conducts ongoing brand training with wholesaler partners, retailers, and consumers
  • Participated in special events and festivals in the assigned territory (will include nights/weekends)
  • Able to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Provide excellent customer service and extensive knowledge of the Long Live Beerworks product catalog to Customers, Accounts, and Distributors


Job Requirements:

  • Candidate must live in RI or MA
  • Must be 21 years of age or older, with at least two years of experience working in the three-tier distribution system either with a beer wholesaler or beer supplier, and within a sales rep capacity
  • Reliable car, clean driving record, valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance
  • Organized, self-motivated, and can independently solve problems and manage time effectively
  • High-achieving personality with strong business acumen and skilled sales experience
  • Strong written and communication skills, detail-oriented and thorough – with a relationship-building personality and high standards for customer service
  • Strong proficiency in digital tools, record-keeping, and time management
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
  • Strong knowledge of craft beer, the industry, and its retail consumers
  • Any relevant state licensing/registration once hired
  • Travel is required throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 55 lbs and use a dolly to transport/maneuver 170 lbs kegs
  • Climb stairs, ramps, and ladders
  • Work in small and cramped spaces
  • Work in a loud environment with basic safety accommodations
  • Follow safety guidelines and adhere to PPE standards


Position Details:

The position requires 5 days a week on the road visiting accounts/leads within Rhode Island + Massachusetts. In-person visits with our retail partners are crucial and the Sales Rep will expect to visit at least 10-12 accounts daily. Account visits must be logged and the Sales Rep will be expected to meet with management weekly and maintain open communication regarding sales trends, account demeanors, etc.
