Brewer

Opening in 2015, Spindletap Brewery is located just 10 minutes north of downtown Houston. We specialize in hazy IPAs, but also offer a diverse range of other beer styles, RTD cocktails, and non-alcoholic options. Brewer/Cellar

Qualities:

Responsibilities:

·        General cleaning and maintenance of the brewery

·        Accurate record keeping

·        Uphold all QA/QC standards

·        Wort Production

·        Yeast management

·        CIP/SIP/AUP of brewing vessels

·        Transfer of product from fermenter to brite tank

·        Store & Organize Raw materials

·        Daily tank specific gravity and pH readings

·        Dry hopping

·        Lenticular filter operation

·        Beer carbonation

Requirements:

·        Ability to work and communicate well with all staff

·        Represent the company and brand in a professional manner

·        Valid driver’s license

·        Ability to safely operate a forklift with training

·        Climb ladders and operate scissor lift

·        Physically capable of performing daily brewery work including standing most of the day, crouching, and

lifting 55lbs. from floor to shoulder height

·        Work in small and confined spaces

·        Follow best practice and safety requirements

·        Work safely with chemicals

·        Attend brewery staff meetings

Flexibility:

·        Willingness to do tasks outside the scope of this position to ensure the success of the brand

·        Able to work staggered shifts & Saturdays as required by the production schedule

Experience:

·        Previous brewing or cellar experience is preferred
