JOB OVERVIEW AND OPPORTUNITIES

The Sales Manager role at Ol’ Beautiful is a full-time management position responsible for driving on-premise and retail growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for distribution and volume growth for our beers, as well as managing and expanding our existing Sales Team. This is a full-time permanent position, based out of Calgary and would involve moderate travel around Alberta.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop the Ol’ Beautiful sales strategy in conjunction with leadership to guide the sales direction over the coming years. This will include the strategy for on premise and retail key accounts, distribution, volume and brand growth.
  • Build, develop and manage our sales team to deliver whole of business volume and revenue growth in line with the strategy.
  • Develop KPIs for tracking distribution, account and volume per account growth.
  • Develop monthly sales forecasts by brand and SKU to support the Ol’ Beautiful operations team deliver best-in-class beer.
  • Achieve personal minimum weekly call targets and ensure the sales team achieves their own targets.
  • Manage reporting and data input into Ol’ Beautiful’s CRM platform. 
  • Develop a monthly report for Ol’ Beautiful leadership including critical metrics such as volume, distribution, conversion, team performance, volume per PoD, at risk and lost accounts.
  • Execute and manage trade shows, events and customer activations.
  • Additional duties as required by employer.


DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Physically fit and able to work in a standing position for extended periods.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in beverage alcohol sales.
  • Proven ability to build a supportive and high performing culture within Sales and Operations Teams is a highly valued asset.


KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Knowledge of and interest in the craft beer industry
  • Ability to interact professionally and effectively with employees and the general public
  • Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations and remain positive
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Computer literacy: Excel, Word, Outlook, Clover, etc
  • Event planning and coordination experience
  • Time management and schedule management


COMPENSATION

·        Base salary range of $65,000 – $75,000 per annum, less applicable statutory deductions.

·        Up to 30% bonus based on exceeding performance targets.

·        Three (3) weeks paid vacation in addition to statutory vacation days.

·        Promotional allowance for sampling use at accounts.

·        Vehicle allowance as required.
