Position Overview:  Sales Director

We are seeking an exceptional individual who can help us translate our reputation for quality into growing market share. The Sales Director will be a detail-oriented person who loves to work hard as part of a dedicated team embodying our company’s core values: Excellence, Transformation, Curiosity, Teamwork, Innovation, and Authenticity. This is a full-time, in-person, salaried position.


The Sales Director oversees the sale of all Grimm products beyond the brewery walls, mastering the diverse elements of the wholesale arm of our operation:


  • Communicating with our wholesale customers (beer distributors and exporters) to inform them about the upcoming beers on our schedule and solicit orders.
  • Translating those orders into a well-organized packaging plan to be executed by the production team (breaking down a tank of beer into the optimal number of cans vs half-barrel vs sixth-barrel kegs).
  • Overseeing the efficient shipment of our beer to our distribution partners by ensuring pallet positions are both full and safely built, communicating orders to our warehouse and production team, and coordinating freight pickups.
  • Ensuring that brands are registered with federal and state agencies so that they can be legally sold in the relevant distribution territories.
  • Working with our distributors and important retail clients in order to constantly optimize our ongoing relationships.
  • Transmitting feedback from the market to the owners and production team in order to ensure we are making the right beers at the right time, including helping to set upcoming production plans. This may involve strategizing with ownership to conceptualize new products to meet our customers’ evolving desires.
  • Tracking sales trends to accurately assess production throughput of our core beers to ensure that the freshest possible beer is making its way to market, yet we never are out of stock. 
  • Providing customer service related to any inquiries about wholesale distribution and any quality issues out in the market.
  • Identifying and coordinating logistics for offsite events that serve as an opportunity to expand Grimm’s brand presence, such as festivals and tap takeovers.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in beer sales
  • Proven track record of building and executing sales strategies
  • Comfortable analyzing data to provide insight and enhance decision-making
  • Full competence with Google Suite and Microsoft Office

Flexible schedule to include occasional travel and participation in events


Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary, $80k/year
