Brewery Cellar Person

We are currently seeking a passionate Brewery Cellar Person to contribute to our production team in Livermore, CA. Duties:

- Operate and maintain brewery equipment including fermenters, bright tanks, and kegging lines

- Assist in brewing operations such as milling grain, wort production, and ingredient preparation

- Conduct cellar operations including yeast handling, dry hopping, CIP, and sanitation procedures

- Ensure cleanliness and organization in the brewery workspace

- Manage warehouse activities by safely moving ingredients, barrels, and packaged products using forklifts and pallet jacks

- Support packaging processes such as kegging and canning

- Collaborate with the production team to achieve brewing goals and manage production schedules

- Administer inventory control for raw materials and purchase supplies as needed

- Maintain brewing records, track costs, develop new recipes, and optimize existing ones

Qualifications:

- Knowledge of CAL-OSHA safety and food industry sanitary practices

- Experience with forklift operation and warehouse procedures

- Deep understanding of beverage packaging, including canning & kegging of finished product

- Familiarity with brewing processes, craft beer production

- Ability to make necessary equipment adjustments as required

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance

- Capability to work in varying temperature environments and lift 55lbs and maneuver heavy loads up to 160lbs.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team setting

Compensation for this role starts at $20/hr and the final compensation package depends on experience.
