Job Title: Production & Operations Manager    

Classification: Full Time Exempt

Reports to: CEO

Summary:

Company is an award-winning, privately owned brewery that is looking to hire a Production & Operations Manager to our team as we continue to grow our FMB beer and seltzer products. The Company is dedicated to quality, efficiency, and innovation. We are looking for a constructive, positive, and hands-on leader to help continue our product and packaging quality and efficiency efforts, team development, and growth.

Our current production line and warehousing team is fully staffed and works collectively in a rotational system that shifts their efforts from filling, packaging, warehouse, etc. This manager will work closely with its team, the brewing team, the company’s QA/Technical Director, and the sales team to ensure all aspects of our filling, packaging, warehousing, shipping, and reporting are completed to our high standards. This role requires an enthusiastic, teamwork-oriented, responsible, and self-motivated individual with a passion for craft beverage alcohol products and a desire to continue learning and growing within the industry. The role requires a lot of interdepartmental work and focus and technical skills to help keep our equipment maintained and running, and our products consistently high in quality and in spec.

Essential Functions:

Planning and managing workflow of all production and operations tasks:

Maintaining/Developing production SOPs

Maintain a safe working environment, following all safety protocols and SOPs

Filling and packaging equipment knowledge and experience

Inventory management

QC/QA Protocols and data recording.

Maintain a clean, sanitary and organized work environment

Proper documentation of all tasks performed.

Managing Filling, Packaging, Warehousing, Shipping, Record Keeping, etc.

Filling in on Filling and Packaging Duties when necessary

Packaging materials inventory, ordering and procurement.

Finished goods inventory Management.

Hazardous Materials and Safety Training/Compliance.

All maintenance material coordination, quotation, and parts ordering.

Scheduling of Maintenance (preventative or reactionary).

Compliance and other regulatory submissions and reporting.

Yield data reporting and trouble shooting.

Managing contract brewing relations and execution.

Qualifications:

*Must be a team player

*Excellent communication skills

*Passion for independent, quality craft beer, FMB’s, seltzer and our industry is a must

*Background in beer, FMB, seltzer, wine, spirits and/or soft drinks production preferred

*5yr professional filling and packaging management experience working in production brewery or similar

*Forklift and equipment operation experience is highly desired

*Mechanical aptitude, basic problem solving and math skills

*Flexibility, a positive attitude and a strong work ethic

*Ability to work on feet for 8+ hours, repeatedly lift up to 50lbs on a consistent basis

*Flexibility in shift rotation is required

Physical Demands 

The employee is occasionally required to run equipment; sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Attention to detail, ability to work unsupervised while maintaining safety and quality standards, and confidence to speak up and act when safety and quality are compromised.
